    Inheritance laws California
I inherited some land with an orchard on it 2 1/2 years ago and was finally deeded the property last year. The land was previously leased by family members who planted the trees knowing the property was going to be inherited. There is no mention of any trees on the deed, or any written agreement to plant the trees. Am I entitled to the trees on my portion of the land or are the trees considered improvements that belong to the other members of the family according to Calif. Law? Do you have any case studies that are appropriate to this case? Carlp1

If there were no written agreements as to long term leases or agreement to the planting the trees would belong with the land.

I assume the leasee is not agreeing, so hire an attorney, it will end up in court anyway.
