    Cold start
I have a 2002 7.3 F350 power stroke. I have 98000mi on it.I bought it in 9-2009. It started fine till the weather got colder. When it gets 40 degrees or colder overnight and block is not plugged in it will not start. I plug it in for awhile t start. Once it is started it's good for rest of day. It was serviced when I bought 1000mi ago. Can anybody suggest what I can do to fix. It has rottelta 15/40 oil.
    Thanks mack1

Start using full-synthetic 5W-40 HDDO--it will definitely help with cold weather starts and protecting your turbo, among other things. Several recommendations are included in the link below:

    Cold start reply to txgreasemonkey

Thanks for help. I read other link and I think I need to try to clean batteries first. Then I will recharge. The right side battery always has a lot of acid build up. I REALLY like your advise. There is no rate this answer at end of your answer.

It might be the head gasket. Check all the lines above the engine that carry the coolant. Try a compression test and leak down test.

Sorry for the first post. During cold weather, it's advisable to winterize the car with anti-freeze.
