    Baby sickness
My 8mnth old has had sickness & diahhrea.. I have seen on internet I can try soy milk which is lactose free... I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and if they had any other advice. She has now been poorly for 8 days, my doctor is aware and everything under control. :'(

    Re: Baby sickness
c-heaver, hi, yes, it's true soy milk is lactose-free, but using it doesn't necessarily prevent or minimize diarrhea or the "sickness" you mentioned, because whatever sickness your 8-month old child is having... may be causing the diarrhea.. and there are many reasons for the diarrhea.

In cases like this, a pediactrician, who may consult a REGISTERED DIETITIAN, may recommend ALIMENTUM or NEXT STEP formulary, which does contain soy and other nutrients, which would be more tolerable for your child, especially if your child has allergies.. such as from atopic dermatitis, such as eczema.
