First thanks for your answers.I have applied for my son's ITIN number in April 2009 and in may2009 I came back to home country.I have given my US address to receive the mails but I never got it.Now I am in India and suggest me what is best way to get the ITIN number .(I have a US postal address where My brother lives)

Why do you need ITIN? If it is required to file your 2009 tax return, attach W-7 with your tax return. Do not file W-7 separately.

Hello MUkatA:I need ITIN number to include my son in my tax claim.

YOu mean to say attach the old w7 which I have applied and submit the claim?

Do NOT re-submit the W-7 until you know for sure that the original ITIN request was denied.

Call the ITIN processing Center at 1-800-908-9982 to find out what happened to your ITIN. The ITIN letter may have been lost in the mail.
