My virus protection keeps prompting me that this wants to open on my computer, is C:\DDI\AOLICON.exe a necessary thing or a virus?
I have windows vista

this is happening every time you start your computer?

if it is, click on start, run and type msconfig and hit enter
-go to startup tab and look through list for AOLICON.exe and take the check out of box next to it and click apply and then OK

this should not happen on startup any longer

If not there and still have the problem, download hijackthis and run the program and choose Scan only

-In the info that comes up, go down till you see
O4 - Global Startup: AOL DDI.lnk = C:\DDI\AOLICON.exe

Put a check in the box next to it and then at bottom click the Fix button and say OK

Close program and close all windows and then restart computer, that should do it

I eneded up looking in my programs and uninstalled AOL.. I don't even use AOL. That took care of the problem.
