Passing out near needles and I need my jabs, how do I calm myself?
Okay so in the next few weeks I will be receiving the booster for tetanus, diphtheria and polio (one shot) and the HPV jab (3 shots over 6 months), whenever I'm in the line to get my jab done or I am just about to get it done I always psych myself out and I shake and get cold sweats, most of the time I hype myself up too much and I pass out for about a minute/two minutes, how can I calm myself and stop myself from doing this?

For me deep breaths and focusing on anything other than the needle helps. Essentially, meditation and distraction. Sometimes, the best distraction has been talking to other people who are waiting, too. Knowing I am not the only one not liking the needles, can help reduce the stress mainly because I want to help the other person be less stressed.

    Good luck. :)
