I have started itiching on the tip of the penis and reddish. It is slightly painful while urinitatiing . Will caneston ointment help.

After a week I think I would seek medical advice from a Doctor, but here are two possibilities I've had experience with.

Same thing, married for a long time and have never messed around, but I did get a yeast infection from my wife. If that's the case, I would assume you would have had intercourse and not just oral sex. BTW the swab is the worst part of this diagnosis. And it would be itching inside your Urethra(sp?).

My second thought is that maybe it's jock itch? Have you been to a gym or been exposed to athletes foot? If so an over the counter jock-itch or athletes foot cream will do the trick.
