    Bryant 340mav trouble codes
Bryant 340MAV giving trouble code 33. We replaced the filter - shut off the power for 30min to reset the code- worked for about 6 hrs. now it is showing code 33 again. Blower works, but heat won't kick on.

    Codes given in book:
    13 or 33 - Limit switch lockout
    14 or 34 - Ignition lockout/proving fault
    24 - furnace fuse open
31 - pressure switch not closed
    12, 21, 22, 23 - call dealer!

    How do you reset these?

I have exactly the same problem. Did you ever find a solution as to how to reset? Anyone?

    Thank you!

Yes, I called out a tech! Basically I overheated my furnace with a filter that hadn't been changed in... oh, say... 6mo! It needed to be reset to clear the code. His fix?? Yeah, best entertaining $80 I ever spent... he tapped "the right spot" with the handle to his screwdriver. Doh! So... moral of the story? Buy yourself the CHEAP filters & make sure they are changed every month... say on the 1st! He also mentioned that my "waffle" type of filter (yeah, more expensive) wasn't nessessary on this high efficiency furnace... just use the cheap ones & don't forget to change them out. Oh, and don't block any intake vents (mine weren't), because that can also sufforcate the furnace. I hope that helps you! I don't know about you, but only when I go camping do I expect to layer up... not in my own house! LOL

Hi there, thanks so much for the quick response. Do you know where he tapped? I am pretty handy, but am having trouble figuring this one out. Did he tap on a stuck switch? Luckily we've got a gas fireplace and an electric space heater to keep us warm!

I had the same problem with my 340MAV just blowing cold air. (old filter needed to be replaced) Shutting down never helped but this post did help in that it forced me to look harder for the reset switch. There are 2 wires going to the burner and the switch is a tiny button in between them. Take a look at the following manual and it it item number 17. Although, mine had two wires going to either side of that switch and you had to look hard to see it. As soon as I hit that switch it reset and started working within minutes.
