I found a website that I really for listening to all sorts of music. It's Grooveshark - Listen to Free Music Online - Internet Radio - Free MP3 Streaming

I can't think of many of the rock tunes from those decades, although, I know that I really liked a lot of songs.

Let's see, Dan Folgelberg, Elton John...

What might be some other artists and songs from those decades that might be your favorites, please?

I'm really partial to acoustic guitar and acoustic piano.

I also suggest 'she moved through the fair' sung by sinead o conner.

Oh wow, there's so many... but I'll tell you that while you music site is good, I'd go to Pandora.com (and no I don't work for them... LMAO) because if you can think of even ONE band you liked you plug it in and they play songs/artists based on your suggestion. You can also say whether you like the song or not and if you don't, it never plays it again. :)
But I'd say for me, I like the 80's best. I like them all. But especially Toto, Ambrosia, Chicago, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bruce Hornsby, to name a few. :-) Rate me. HTH!

Thanks for informing me about pandora.com I'll check it out. I had originally asked about "easy listening". So, perhaps that might need to be defined a bit.

To me "easy listening" is somewhat soft as well as a little bit slow, using a minimal number of instruments.

My Dad had a diverse taste in music so we grew up with the country songs of Jim Reeves and Hank Williams, the mellow songs of Bing Crosby, "Moonlight Becomes You", my dad sang it to my mother when she used to get aggravated at him. Nat King Cole , "Ramblin Rose and "Unforgettable".

Music is my passion and always has been since I heard my Dad singing "Danny Boy", when I was about four. He left my siblings and me a legacy of love, not only for the Lord and people but for Music. Thanks again..

I picture you as maybe a little Jerry Garcia and JFK.. a mixture of both and that is a compliment.
