Your diverter is not closing you need to replace the spout, good luck.

I think I see the white nozzle you are talking about, but it is hard to tell what it is. Does it have threads on it? If so, it looks like it for a hand held shower attachment. IF you corrently don't have a hand held shower, replace the spout with a regular spout as John suggested.

    Hi Bustedplumbing,

Please tell us more about your valve, is it tub only or tub/shower valve is this a one handle or 3 knob and where is the diverter?

If the water is running out from the spout with out the water turned on then you have problem with your valve either the cols side or the hot side and may be the diverter, please post a picture of your Tub/shower valve and explain when the water is leaking, we be able to tell you needs to be done, Thanks.
