Carter and Carter had a song with that title. Lynn Anderson a 70's CMA had a song with those lyrics called "Rose Garden". Hope this helps.

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately that's not the right one. I believe this female artist had only a couple of hits. she came out around the mid 90's I'd say around 1993 to 1995. I know the song was called "Look before you leap". but can't find it anywhere on any site. But thanks anyway... If you do happen to come across it. please let me know.. Thanks so much.

The Judds did a song called, "Mama He's Crazy", and there was a lyric in it that said[

" Mama, you always said; better look before you leap".

    Hope you find it.

Sorry!! It wasn't The Judds. It was 1 female singer. and I do remember the title of the song was called "Look before you leap". I just can't believe that a song that's less than 15 years old is so impossible to find.

Okay I just did a search on Slacker.com and there are NO females that sing that song in the genre you're requesting. I'm going to try Pandora.com next... and there's nothing on there either, and Pandora is known for the obscure songs. Nothing on Yahoo Music OR AOL either. The other person who said "Carter and Carter" is the closest as far as I can tell.

HI WENDY: I just know that it was a female singer in the country era around 1995 1997. All I can remember is the song was called "Look before you leap". It was a nice country-rock song. But, impossible to find. I really appreciate your help... I've been tryin' so hard myself to find this song... It's getting to the point I may have to call a country music radio station to have them try to ponder a search for this. I'm stumped.

I just hate it when something stumps me like this song has. I've looked everywhere on the web. I sure hope somebody finds it cause it's driving me crazy! I do however like a good challenge so I'll keep looking.

I just found a singer named Dana Rosemary Scallion who has a song on a country cd called "Look Before You Leap". See if this is the one you're looking for.
She looks a lot like Sara Evans and her CD is all country songs.

I found it at EIL.com by searching ,Dana.. look before you leap

Thanks for trying so hard. I've been trying myself too. Seems like you are doing better than me. This could be it... only problem is I've searched everywhere to get an AUDIO portion of this song/artist to see if this is actually the song. Yes, she did do this song in 1977, earlier than I thought. But trying to get the audio portion might be a real challenge. If you can find it, please let me know, because I will certainly try.
