How to fix foot lock drain, when top came off
My kid took off the top of my foot lock drain. I have a spring sticking up out of the drain and can't seem to get the top back on. Do I have to completely replace the drain, or is this fixable? If so, do I need a plumber?

    Hi Rowlesczar:

If your foot lock drain looks like the picture below grab the unit that encases the spring and rotate the entire mechanism out counterclockwise... should come out.

Then you can spend a few minutes in a comfortable position trying to screw the parts back together... should go back together pretty easily.

If it won't go back together take it to a local home improvement store and see if they have a replacement... they should.

Let us know how you make out as you go along... OK?

Thank-you for your help we did have to replace the top. We took it to the store and got help to make sure the threads matched and it was a quick fix. Thanks!
