    I am wiring a 220v welding machine in my shop. What size wire to breaker should I use? The total run is approx 25 ft.

    Need to know more about the welder,such as electrical data. Listed on the nameplate and in the owners manual.

    Also, if your located in North America, the voltage is 240 volts.

    Welder reads 230 volts at 45 amps max amps 50 yes Im in South Carolina

    Yes In South Carolina welder tag reads 230 volts at 45 amps max 50 amps has dryer type plug on it
