    Foul smelling odor in bathroom
We recently started having a foul smelling odor in our bathroom under the sink area. The pipes under there appear to be fine. A handyman looked under the house by the bathroom and saw no leaks or dead animals, although he thinks the odor smells like a dead animal. We recently had a lot of rain, and my husband thinks perhaps an animal got inside the wall and was not able to get out. Another factor is that we recently had a sewer back up, due to tree roots, which Rotorooter fixed. At their suggestion, we also had them reroute the sewer pipes for better efficiency. This was done on the same side of the house where the bathroom is. What do you think might be the cause, and how can it be fixed? Thanks very much for any help you can give.

How long have you had the smell, a deda mouse will stop smelling after about a week. A larger animal will take longer to decompose.

We have had the smell for about 5-6 days now. I'm hoping we don't have to break open the wall to find out what is going on. Thanks.
