    Hi,

    I am in H1B visa and my wife is a H4 depedent.

    My questions are

    1) Can I add my wife as a depedent under exclusions even when filing as 'Married filing jointly' ?

    2) My parents stayed with me for 2 months ( May '09, June '09) in B1/B2 visa category. I sponsored the flight tickets and took care of their expenses. Is there a way to claim them as Depedents in 2009 Tax filing? (This is my parents first visit to US)

    1. On joint return you automatically get standard deduction and exemption deduction of your spouse.
    2. No.
