    Pregnancy Possibility?
    Hi,

I am just wondering about something, I had unsex, the day before my period, and my period came the day after, does that mean that one is totally safe, if your period comes the day after?
I am on the pill, so I am OK, but just say I wasn't, and my period still came, am I defo not pregnant? I mean what if the egg had already shed, is it possible to get pregnant so soon to ones period and is there a chance you can be pregnant even if your period still comes, because of the fact you had sex to close in time to it?
Hope this makes sense? If one has unprotected sex during ones period what are the chances of becoming pregnant then, percentage wise?

Any info would be very much appreciated,
    Thanks,

    Pregnancy Possibility?
It is not possible to get 'P' during or right before your period. Only during ovulation which is approx. 14 days after the first day of your period.

But it is medically found that a person could ovulate more than once in a cycle so becareful also not everyone ovulates mid cycle some people can ovulate just before or after. I wouldn't take any chances if you don't know when you ovulate unless of course you are trying to conceive

    Now I'm really confused.
Hi my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I haven't been on the shot for about 2 months. My periods are really irregular. They will last from 3 days until 2 weeks. But every time I take a ovulation test it's always negative. So after sex I will start my period again. Last month I had a period (?) 4 times. I have read plenty of the other questions. And someone said that you have to ovulate in order to get pregnant, but what happens if you don't ever ovulate? I would appreciate any advice given. Thanks

    Hope to help..
It is true that you must ovulate to get pregnant. No egg, no baby. I am not sure if the shot works by causing you not to ovulate or by making the vaginal environment totally inhospitable to sperm or a combination of things. What I do know is that everyone I have ever know who has been on the "shot" has had less than desirable results. They have mentioned horrible irregularity with their periods, messed up emotions, and three out of five people I know on the shot have gotten pregnant while on the shot. I can't say whether they were taking the medication exactly as they were supposed to and I kind of doibt it because three out of five is not very good odds at all. I would not worry about not being able to get pregnant until one whole year of unprotected sex has proven unsuccessful. The ovulation predictor kits that you are using are based on a regular and predictable cycle. My doctor suggested waiting at least three months (and said that six would be even better) before trying to get pregnant after a stint on birth control. I think that more than 50% of people who don't use birth control will get pregnant within six months time. Best of luck. Relax and enjoy trying.

Some women actually ovulate at the time of their period. Some women ovulate twice in the middle of their cycle and at the beginning (first day of period)

Sorry- wasn't sure how to start a new thread within this...
I'm brand new, but I have a question
I started birth control 12 days ago, the day I started my period.
I've been bleeding ever since, but I tonight it subsided, so I had sex.
I had no condom, it was unprotected.
How much of a possibility do I have of being pregnant?

If I'm at risk, I can get a morning after pill..
    Thanks for your help

According to my doctor, you should be okay. She said you're okay as soon as you start, but if you want to use back up for a week or two to feel safe, that's fine. (I had the same question a few years ago.)

    Could be
Well, the bad news is that birth control needs to be in your system for at least a month before it really works, and then pregnancy is still possible. Chances of pregnancy while you're not ovulating are relatively low. The only way to be sure is to wait for next cycle and if you skip, take a test.
