    Hit my Head!
One year ago I fell from a ladder and hit the back of my head. Two weeks from that day I lost all my Taste and Smell, It's been a rough year. About four months ago I have been getting some strange, and unknown faint smells every once in awhile that I can't describe. Is this a sign my senses might be coming back? My ENT Can't help me, he says it's a nerve ending that might have been sheared or it could have just be swelling. Has this happened to anyone out there, and is there hope in the future for me. I love the taste of a Steak but now its just a memory.

Have you seen a neurologist for this? It is possible that your sense of smell can be restored if there was a damaged nerve. The nerve just needs to heal properly.

Did you have a brain scan to make sure you did not have more brain damage?

One doctor has an interesting cure that he does in this article.

Also, neurofeedback works for others (although, I would be surprised if insurance would cover this).
