Goodman furnace will not shut off when both wires are disconnected from thermostat
I have replaced the thermostat and the furnace continues to run. I can disconnect both the red and white wire from the thermostat and the furnace still will not shut off
Hi allen.
Are the burners still burning, or is just the fan running? Is the unit heating the house good, or is it not keeping up to temp?
What can be done? The furnace is only 5 years old
Please stick to just one post per question. You will get better help this way. We need to know if the burners are lit, or if just the fan is blowing.

Sounds like you replaced the tstat for nothing, take the tstat wires loose at the furnace, if it stops working after you replace the door, you will no there is a shorted tstat wire
Allen. Disconnect the red and white wires at the furnace control board. This will tell me if the wires are shorted between the furnace and the thermostat. Let me know what happens when the red and white are disconnected at the furnace.
