I am looking for this movie I saw it a long time ago. It was about a teenage girl who lived with her grandmother and was very rebelous. She started doing drugs with her best friend and sneaking out of her house. Then one night they went to a party and her friend overdosed and died in her arms. She started realizing that what she was doing was wrong and changed her ways. She then went back to high school and became her classes viledictorian. Im not sure if it was a movie or a hbo or mtv special presentation? And I thought it was called flashback. Thanks I hope someone can help!

FLASHBACK is a dramatization based on a true story. The characters of Patty McIntyre and her mother are based on actual persons. Patty is a high school student, raised solely by her mother, but gets entrapped into a drug habit that alienates her from her mother and her school life. Finally, her mother gives Patty a choice: Rehab or out of the house. Reluctantly, Patty enters rehab, only to escape and be with her friends. While out partying, Patty's best friend overdoses and dies. Patty then returns to rehab, where she stays for a year. She returns to school to find some people treat her differently...
