Pump pressure switch does not turn on with low pressure
I lost water in my home overnight. The pressure gage reads about 8 PSI. If I use the lever on the pressure switch to close the contacts, nothing happens. Actually, the pump controller box, makes a buzzing sound for a couple of seconds, but that's it.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I don't have a lot of testing equipment, so I can't do any voltage testing. I do have a circuit tester, which tells me the voltage is exiting the pressure switch, when I manually close the contacts. Don't know what that voltage is, but there is something there. I'm hoping it's the pressure switch or the control box. Easy fix, if it's one of those. Also, it was cold last evening (below freezing), so I don't know if that plays a part in this. Thanks for any help.
