Do the lights in bedroom have to be on arc fault circuit or just the outlets
The bedroom is on two different circuits. Lights on one and outlets on other. Does lights have to go on arc fault circuit or just the outlets?

Yes, all 120 volt 15 and 20 amp "outlets" need to be AFCI protected. The word "outlets" means receptacles AND lighting fixtures. Also includes smoke detectors, however, need to check local codes, as there is at least one state that waives having the smoke detector AFCI protected.
