Water leaking from bathroom into bedroom
I have tile in my upstairs bathroom, but the carpet outside the bathroom door becomes wet if we let the shower run to long. I had a plumber come but he did nothing as he said he did not know where the water was coming from unless he started cutting holes in the ceiling downstairs. There are no stains in the living room from water damage, but there is water stains the dining area in the kitchen (there are two bathrooms upstairs, sharing the same wall). Is my only option to have someone cutting holes in the ceiling without knowing where the leak is or what the leak is? Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Cutting the holes in the ceiling is actually easy - and it is easy to repair them as well... but...

First, have somebody to step into the shower and to pretend he/she is using shower. You stay on the outside and look around the door watching for water escaping through the shower door framing. Use flash light. If there is water it will reflect light therefore it will be easily detectable. It is very possible the leaks comes from there.
