WE haven't been together that long but because we don't spend anytime together now it makes me not want to take it long term. He works mon to sat from 4:30am - 7pm and then he goes home and reads to his daughter and checks her homework. For the past two weekends its been football over spending time with me, and this week there were two opportunities for us to spend some time together but he didn't step up. I don't know what to do.

He sounds like a very responsible guy. Why couldn't you watch football with him, or at least supply the snacks? Could you spend time with his daughter and share the reading-to-her time? How far away does he live from you?

Well it's a traditional guy thing he and his cousin and a couple of his friends do so I didn't want to intrude, and his daughter goes to see her mom on the weekends. He is responsible and I really like him but I don't see him

How are are the two of you?
How old is his daughter?
How far apart do the two of you live?

He is 29 and I am 24, he is transports gasoline to different gas stations across the city and I am a tutor and go to school full time. His daughter is 8yrs old and he lives about 45 minutes from me.

How does the relationship seem when you're talking on the phone with him, or when the two of you are together?

Wow, seems he is to busy to put a lot of time into this relationship. If you can call it that.

You could wait for after football season, and see if he changes his habits, but its not a good sign when a guy choose football, AND friends over his girl EVERY WEEKEND. Besides its hockey, and basketball next after football.

Though he comes across as a responsible dad and a nice enough bloke, having a relationship with you seems to be low on his list of priorities.

Personally,I'd rather be with someone who would want to be watching the football with me on occasion.. .

First of all, you say you two have not been dating long.
Second of all, the playoffs have been taking place the past 2 weeks.
With these two facts, I can draw that perhaps after the superbowl, he will give more time. He is very busy and perhaps he needs some time to adapt. Give it about 2 more months and see what happens.
