My daughter signed a lease for an apartment and changed her 18 year old mind.
She changed her mind and moved elsewhere.. she owed them 4thousand dollars they turned her over to a collection service.. she agreed after being harassed into paying 150 monthly to eliminate the debt. She is not even working.. how can she get out of this or can she?

No, she can't get out of it. She is obligated now, and that amount will only go up with interest attached. I hope she doesn't lag behind.

Your daughter has just learned a valuable but expensive lesson. When you sign a contract (a lease is a contract) you enter into an obligation. When you renege on that obligation there are consequences.

I am wondering a bit at the amount. Four thousand could be a bit much depending on where she lives. Did she have a job when she signed for the apt?
