HI tnredsoxfn, welcome to AMHD :)

Is car moving when you hear this clicking?

My Dad's wire wheel hubcaps useta click when moving.

Some brake pads click when in need of replacement.

    Worst case?. Bad U-joint.

Try googling car sounds or similar.

I'd have to look for it, but I think? I have a link like that, but it would take me a while to find it.

It would play actual .wav files of diagnostic car sounds

You may have a cracked ring gear/flywheel.
Over time, the area around the crankshaft mounting bolts becomes brittle and cracked. While it's very difficult to see those cracks, an experienced ear can be a vital second opinion.
