A kids programme 80's I think, where a spaceship dropped lots of little metal balls
Hi, I remember watching a programme/or film maybe, it was in the 80's, of a young boy who finds some little metal robot like balls that have been dropped or left behind by a spaceship. Seem to remember him maybe finding them burning/smoking in the garden. I'm sure he even fed them baked beans. It was quite an adventure with him doing various things and hiding them and in the end the spaceship came and took them away, I remember loving it when I was a kid but can never find out what it was called.

Can't remember the title but I remember the film, one of the balls was in acereal packet! Try the Children's Film Foundation on Wikipedia, think it was one of those! Nick

Thank you very much. I've thought about it on and off for years... and get an answer in days! :-)
