I have a 97 dodge intrepid when I drive it at times it will cut off and it want restart for a while and then it will crank up and I can drive it what make it do that and how can I fix it.

It could matter which engine option you have.
However, you may want to know if you still have spark or not. You may want to know if you've lost fuel pressure or not. You may want to share any other symptoms, too.
