    Hey I've been married for 31/2 years and never got pregnant we've been trying but never have my doc told me I just had a miscarrige but I don't understand and need your help my last period was dec12 my period comes every 29days on jan2 I started to get brown spotting until jan9 a spot of red blood was seen the next day dark brown blood came out not a lot but it fillled the pad a little and then it went back to brown spotting until Friday jan15 we had intercourse and I got painfull cramps and then bright red blood started to come out not heavy medium I had to wear a pad though and I took some advil to lighten the cramps I went to doc and did b-hcg test it was 294 did it again in 48 hours and it was 317 that's when she said it was a miscarrige the blood stopped after 5days I did b-hcg test again after a week and it was 311 the doc said to do it again on sat and if it doesn't go down she will give me an injection that will my q is did I really have a miscarige and how old was the pregnant cause the spotting started after 2weeks of my last period and why did I miscarry help

    Let me first say that I am sorry for your dilemma. Secondly, we are not ob/gyn's here, but I am the next best thing. I am an OB nurse.

    Now, did you have a miscarriage? Only your doctor can tell you that. I don't have access to your medical records or the lab work.

    How old was the pregnancy? Again, that is something that I cannot answer.

    Why did you miscarry? Unfortunately, there are many many answers to that question. It could be that the fertilized egg was not viable for a full term pregnancy, it could be that your uterus was not prepared to implant a fertilized egg. We never really know the reasons for miscarriages, it's something that just happens sometimes.
