Laptop battery won't charge
I have a Dell laptop that the battery won't charge. It works fine when I have it plugged in but the battery is completely drained. At first my battery would say it was completely full but would suddenly die with little to no warning. Then it wouldn't hold a charge at all. Now this is a brand new battery, I replaced it a few weeks ago as I thought this would fix my problem. The cord is also new as well, replaced about 5 months ago. I opened it up to check the charging circuits as someone said the plastic could have melted if the computer over heated. I checked and everything seems solid. Only thing I can think of is maybe the plug part for the cord maybe be loose inside. Only problem is that I can't seem to open up the computer to see that far down the back of it. Not sure what I'd be looking for anyhow. This is a newer computer and I don't have much $$ to buy a new one. Any answers would be helpful. The circuits are way out of my league but I'm a fast learner. Thanks ahead of time.
