My key gets stuck in my z3 ignition and I cannot turn my car off.
Every time I put the key in my ignition, I can start the car, but when I try to turn it off, it will not shut off. I have to pop the clutch to shut the car off but the radio and battery is still going and I cannot get the key to turn. I have tried moving the steering wheel and it is not locked. I have to wiggle the key and after a while I finally get the key to turn to the "0" position and I am able to get the key out. Is this my ignition switch and if so, is this something that is expensive to fix?

It is either your Ignition switch or the Key, try another key, or turn that one upside down.
I recently had a customer that the key would only work one way, and if you looked close at the cuts on the key, you could See the cuts were not accurate.
    Try a different key first.
I might disconnect the battery while trying the different keys, so you don't have to worry about killing the vehicle. When the key works correctly, hook back up.

Not terribly expensive. If you get it looked at now while the key still turns. Once it's jammed for good, (and leaves you stranded) it get more expensive. Have the key cylinder replaced and have the cylinder rekeyed to fit the key code you have now.

I had the same problem on a Mercury. It was a known fault, the local dealer changed the complete ignition switch unit free of charge. Although it was fitted free under warranty, the Mercury warranty ended years previous. Call your local dealer, he can only say no.

The procedure will likely be similar to this:
