I just installed my new double kitchen sink for the first time. Thanks to the experts who have helped. When I finished ( 8 hours later) I turned the water on and found water dripping from the garbage disposal connnection. Can I just put more glue on the outside of the pipes to stop the leak and prevent others. Because everything is now glued together. Oh boy! It took forever just to get the darn pipes to match up with the height of the garbage disposal. HELLP! :eek:

I don't think that putting more glue will help, you will need to redo it, good luck.

You can give it a try, but as John said, it may not work. I suggest making sure the area that is leaking is very dry, then using pvc cleaner all around the area, then apply pvc glue all around the area. Let it set for half hour or so. Then run water and see if it still leaks. However, I hate to say it, but you should have used tubular with compression nuts and rings under the sink. This way you would be able to remove the trap and end outlet assembly for cleaning if the need ever arises. Give the glue job a try, and if it doesn't work, we will try to help you repipe this the way it should be done.

As a rule I advise tearing the bad joint out and redoing the work but since I sense a note of desperation here why not, ( we aren't talking pressure leak here) simply purchase a pipe repair kit, http://www.plumbingstore.com/repairk...ak Repair Tape and make a easy fix.

FWIW, I'm not an expert like some of these guys around here, but I'd try GE100% silicone instead of more glue.
I've used it in the past for similar type leaks & it's worked great. It's an easy, cheap fix(about $6 at Home Depot, Lowes) & In my opinion, worth trying.
Just make sure you give it enough time to set up.
