I have a leviton motion activated light control I just purchased. In the wall switch there is a black red green and white... on the new switch there is a black green and red... I got the black and green but does the red on the new switch go to white?? Thanks in advance

What type of switch did you remove? Is it a 3 way switch, is this switch one of two or more than controls the light?

If so, the black, red, and white, are all live at one time or another, and the new sensor switch sounds like it is only a single pole, and will not work in place of a 3 way switch.
