    Toilet tank refill problems
    Hello,

I tried searching through Google and especially this forum, but can't seem to find a solution to my problem without replacing major parts, and I don't believe it's broken and probably needs some adjustment, as this all happened suddenly.

Anyhoo, I'm in a condominium and I believe I have a 400A model tank system, problem is whenever I flush, it will not refill, I hear the valve trying to suck water but I guess it doesn't have enough pressure and it's dripping off to the water level adjustment clip/rod thing. If I turn off the water on the wall and turn it back on, water will flow regularly again through the tube and into the overflow pipe. But it will stop before the water level is above the overlfow pipe, and I tried adjusting the level adjustment to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated before I call plumber to come over :)

Thanks for the link, it's pretty detailed, however I can't for life of me twist off the cap. When I Push down and twist the whole thing turns, I even tried tightening and clamping it down beneat the tank to no avail.

The problem I'm having isn't really about water level, but how it won't refill unless I turn the water supply off then on again. I get this suction sound like water can't make it through if I don't.

Open the link below and follow the instruction for troubleshooting , to remove the cap close the angle valve under the tank, hold firm on the fill valve and twist the cap counter clockwise see the image below if that wouldn't work I would suggest to replace the whole fill valve assembly they are cheap and easy to replace, Good Luck.

Make sure the lift rod is in the up position as you are trying to twist the top. And do the same as you are putting it back in place.
