Green card holder married to L1
    Hi,

I am a green card holder and I recently married to a L1 Visa holder(both are in US).I would like to apply green card for him.If I do so,is there any restriction for him to travel out side US.Also I would like to know the steps involved in this process and approximate time to get it processed.I will be able to apply for Citizenship only after 2 more years. Help me with my questions..

    Thanks in advance..

You can get married but adjustment of status should be put on hold until you become naturalized. If you file I-130 now, it takes about 5 years, if you file I-130 as US citizen, it takes less than a year. Meanwhile he should maintain his L-1 until you are ready to file.
