    Name not on deed
My husband owns a property that was gifted to him by his parents. We have been married for 3 months. I asked him about adding my name to the deed, he stated that we should settle down first. He mentioned that he would consider adding my name after we had a child or two. Is there anything I should do to protect myself in case something happens to him?

You could insist that he leave this piece of real estate to you in his Will in the meantime until he decides to add your name on the deed. Other than that if he has no will you could possibly inherit the property from him if you are still married to him at the time of his demise. He is under no obligation to look out for your interests.
