    Paternity Test
My husband is trying to tell that the answer to his paternity come back as inconclusive because both of them are African-American. I know this is crap. Just want to make sure.

Nope it is crap. If that were the case then everyone would continue to deny paternity.

Paternity has to do with DNA, and being an african-american is only his race, not his genetics.

Also, if that were the case then many criminals would get unconclusive DNA tests back for rape, murder, etc, based on race alone.

DNA tests are infallible. The lab reports the results. If the lab says that he's the dad, then he's the dad.

It is crap, if his brother, or his father was the actual babies father, his test can come up close, but as stated when it is a exact match it will always show up 99.9 or 99.8 percent positive.

What he is doing is called lying, and I would assume the only reason he is lying. And his reason makes me mad, using that ethnic excuse like all blacks have the same DNA or something,

DNA Testing provides up to a 100% exclusion or a 99.9999% Positive Proof of relationship. The only way that a Paternity test would come back inconclusive is if:

    a. There had been a mutation on one of the participants DNA and so the results are not conclusive. If this occurs then further DNA testing (DNA Worldwide test up to 44 DNA Markers) can provide a conclusive result.
    b. If a close relative could be the father then extended testing must be conducted or both potential individuals must be tested.
