    Ceiling fan remote control question
I have a harbor breeze ceiling fan with a mounted remote control. My problem is this: if I leave the battery in the remote control more than a couple hours it drains the battery. Is there any way of fixing this without me taking the battery out of the remote every time I use it?

You have some sort of a short in the transmiter. Usually not worth trying to fix. Try to get a replacement transmiter or buya a universal remote which will give you a new transmiter and receiver.

I second Ballenger's answer, although a universal remote may not work since it is wall mounted. Contact the manufacturer.
