I have recently moved to Pa leaving my son with my mother back in Texas. I will be having him during the summer for a short time and when I start working I will be sending money down there to my mother for his needs. Since the program I am starting takes 2 or more years to complete does this mean I have abandoned my son because I did not have a place to stay (I am currently living on the couch of a friends apartment)? My adopted father is threatening to take him from me because he is there and I am here. Can he do that? I know the law of Texas states that it has to be 90 days before abandonment can be considered. What should I do?
