My husband Cuban/Deported - How can he work??
My husband was brought to the US by his parents in 1971 when he was 7. They never took the correct steps to get him his green-card/permanent residency. He made some pretty big mistakes and was finally released from prison 6 years ago served his time and changed his life. He is now "deported" and no one treats him like he's even alive. I am the only working spouse and it's getting harder and harder for us to keep up with bills/regular life with only one income. I can not get support for us because the state "does not count him" since he is deported. How can I help him get a work permit or does anyone have any suggestions? Our marriage is not a sham, life is real and it's hard! - I don't think I could even afford a work permit due to the amount of money it costs... ANY help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
