What Do I Do? Im Only 20 And I Married A Marine We've Been Talking For A Long Time And Recently Got Married He Does Not Want His Family To Find Out About Me And That Were Married So He Wants To Get A Divorce Now. He Has Been The Only Source Of Income For Me Since April And Now What Do I Do? Im Looking For A Job But Doesn't He Still Have To Give Me Money To Help?

Go on military pay website and look for the amount he receives for BAS/BAQ I am not sure what the marines call it. It is determined by his rank as well. Look for it at the with dependents rate. If you decide to divorce he is obligated to give you this money at this rate until the divorce is final. Right now he gets it because of your being his dependent, same with the ID card, once you divorce you will have to turn it in after so many days. Another thing is call or go talk with the Chaplain if you don't want to talk to someone in his chain of command. It's a shame he was man enough to marry you yet not man enough to uphold his vows and responsibility.

First he sounds like he has other issues , and I would run away from this guy, Why does he not want his family to know about you, that means he does not care for you, and he would rather divorce you than tell his family about you.
Send his family your marriage picture for chrsitmas card.

I believe your thinking about Alimony, that's usually given only after year (s) of marriage. If you've been married for less than a year he can get the marriage annulled. You didn't mention if you have had any children from him. If you have no children and been married for less than a year, sorry charlie start looking really fast for a job. It is very common for military members to rush into a marriage esp if they have just recently joined. I know what your going through, it happened to my sister.

THREATZ , BUT WHY ? Why does he want the divorce now? Is he going to b edeployed? Or what"how long have you been married? Do you know any one in his chain of commands? Did you have a wedding ceremony? Where? When? Man this guy must be kind of crazy or he is hidding a bombshell, you got to get a job soon and as Chuck says , send his family a christmas card with you in it , see what happnes, but make him pay what he has to pay , teach him not to play with women like that, if he does it once , he will do it again, so teach him a good lesson, to the cleaners
