Go on military pay website and look for the amount he receives for BAS/BAQ I am not sure what the marines call it. It is determined by his rank as well. Look for it at the with dependents rate. If you decide to divorce he is obligated to give you this money at this rate until the divorce is final. Right now he gets it because of your being his dependent, same with the ID card, once you divorce you will have to turn it in after so many days. Another thing is call or go talk with the Chaplain if you don't want to talk to someone in his chain of command. It's a shame he was man enough to marry you yet not man enough to uphold his vows and responsibility.

I believe your thinking about Alimony, that's usually given only after year (s) of marriage. If you've been married for less than a year he can get the marriage annulled. You didn't mention if you have had any children from him. If you have no children and been married for less than a year, sorry charlie start looking really fast for a job.
