    Toilet doesn't fill up
After I flush the toilet the water continues to flow into the toilet and it won't stop. After I jiggle the handle a couple of times it finally will stop. What do I need to do inside the tank to fix this? Thank you, Pat B.

The problem is likely the flapper (the rubber dingey in the bottom of the tank) It could also be the chain is getting tangled up. Watch how the water flows out of the tank and you should be able to see what the problem is

Hi Ron, The problem lies with the flapper. First check to see if you have cut off the ring on the end leaving you with two pieces with holes. If you have left the ring on that will stop thye flapper from seating correctly. Next you should have 1/4" of play in the linkage,(chain) when the tank is filled and the flapper seated. Also to insure a proper flush the water levelshould be about 3/8 to 1/2" below the top of the over flow tube when the tank is filled and the ballcock shuts off. Good luck Tom
