    Gas line pressure testing
I just has a gas line installed for a gas stove. They performed the pressure test and the inspection was approved. The gage was left on and 4 days later the pressure has dropped to 4lbs. Is this a problem?

The gas line was ran outside along the foundatio, then puched through the wall into the kitchen, so it does experience temperature variation (quite a bit here in Colorado)?

I am hesitant to install the stove, as I fear the worst could happen...

Does the line have to hold 10lbs inderfinitely or only for a period.

    Thanks,
    Allen

We test 10lbs for 15 minutes with no appreciable drop. With 4 days you are safe. Who is the they who tested the pipe and tell us why "they" left their gauge on the line for 4 days, this is not normal for anyone to test the line and then walk away for 4 day. Did they check it after 15 minutes too?
