My Amana GUI*/GCI* gas fired warm air furnace located in the attic turns on and then after a short burst stops. Gas flames start and shut off after a few seconds.
The fans do not have a chance to turn on to blow the heat.

Clean flame sensor with fine sand paper or stel wool to start with then check to be sure all registers are open and the air filter is clean.

Cleaning it seemed to work, but I also read on another blog that it's recommendable to purchase another flame sensor to replace the old one sooner than later... (which I plan to do!)
