I am a uk citizen can I marry my usa citizen partner here in the uk and then go with her to the usa on a travel visa then apply for residency from within ?

If US citizen spouse lives & works in UK, file an application for spouse visa at USCIS in London. Don't go with visitor's visa...

She does nt , she is living and working is the USA.. the plan is for her to come here and for us to marry in the uk.. the return as a couple after the wedding.. hopefully at the same time!. if at all possible .

She can file for K-1 visa for you since you're not married. You have to get married in US within 90 days after you enter US. This is the fastest one in this situation.

If you wait until you two get married in US, filing spouse visa takes longer time.
