Where on a white sewing machine can the serial number be found?

My mother just gave me a white sewing machine serial number 75-35865 There is a operators manual with the machine. Can you tell me the age of this machine?

Try looking on anything metal, but that you can see without opening a compartment. Bottom, side, etc. sometimes it's on a label (also metalic)that usually can not be removed without a razor.
