I have an opportunity to purchase a 2003 powerstroke 6.0L deseil? Any suggestuions?

Ive heard 50/50 on the 6.0L on the powerstroke. I have a chance to buy a 2003. Any suggestions and reasons I should or shouldn't. I have checked the VIN and no recalls or anything. So I am confused on what to do.
