How do I get better skin tones on my lcd TV
I have a new, not refurbed, Viore 42" LCD hdtv with 1080i and 120Hz refresh. I cannot get the picture crisp and the skin tones look like there are blotches on faces. I have HD channels form my cable provider. The cable box does not have an hdmi cable plug hole. The Blu-Ray DVD player has one. The TV is not hooked up through the blu-ray. How can I get the focus better?

How is your cable box connected? The next best solution would be to use component cables (red, green, blue). Also, as long as your TV has HDMI inputs, I would use HDMI with your Blu-ray player.

As far as picture settings, you will have to play with it yourself in the menu of the TV. There are some Blu-ray discs you can pick up that help do a basic calibration of your settings, but if you want 100% perfect color, then you are going to have to purchase an ISF calibration. Last I checked, Best Buy had the calibration on sale for $200.
