Ok, So we have known each other since I was 1, but we just started becoming friends again... He is turning 16 in a few months, I don't know if he thinks of me as a little kid because of our age difference... But I am very mature for my age, most of my friends think Im 14/15... What do you think?

I like this guy, and we talk a lot on Facebook and text and stuff... But he is really shy, while I'm a major "Jabber Jaws"... I always try to keep the converstaion going... I have a sense of humor where I "poke at myself" and I'm sarcastic... But I think he thinks I'm immature because of it, and sometimes when I say something, he'll say "dont know dont care"... Our age difference is 3 years... Does he think Im just a immature kid, or what?. PLEASE PLEASE I NEED HELP!

Only he knows so maybe you should ask him.

One of the most awesome things about relationships: you don't have to speak to be heard. There is a saying, "Silence is golden." Sometimes people like to be silent.

Just because you talk a lot and he is quiet doesn't mean that he thinks you're immature. The only way you are going to find out if he thinks that of you, is to ask him.

Sometimes in relationships, just sitting and saying nothing at all is a very comforting way to spend time with your partner.

Now, the "poking fun at yourself" thing could be a sign of insecurity... are you happy with who you are?

I'm thirteen, and he is 15, almost 16... And I'm not insecure about myself, I just do it to make people laugh... Usually they do:)... haha

How do you know the person your talking to is actually 16 ? A person can be anything on the internet. You need to be more careful and don't invest a lot of emotion in people you don't know unless you have met them in person and know they are who they say they are.

We were friends when I was 1-8... Then I moved and we stopped talking, then I looked him up and, well, there he was... So I started talking to him again... So its not like he's some random dude I talk to;)

I would try to date someone my age. At the most. And don't worry so much about boys worry more about school. But good thing your mature though. Goodluck.

Whenever I see someone post "I'm mature for my age" it rings alarms. A truly mature person doesn't have to mention that they're mature.

Personally I think you should stick to kids closer to your own age. At 13 and 16 there's a huge maturity gap. He's in a different stage of his life then you are.

Okay, So I have this friend... He is 15, and I'm 13... I just want to be his FRIEND, that's it *I have about 4 other guy friends that are 15-16*... But I try to talk to him when I see him and he hardly even looks at me when I say "Hi"... But today I went to his house, and I said "hi" He didn't even look my way, and I am positive he heard me... But when this 15 year old girl talks to him, he flirts with her for almost an hour... I wanted to scream my head off... He just ignores me when I talk to him, but, He was talking to a 12 year old the other day, and waited for her after class, hugged her, etc... As I said, all I want is a FRIENDSHIP with this boy... I know him because I'm his siters friend... Would that be keeping him from talking to me?. He is the outgoing type, if he likes a girl he will tell her and talk her ear off... Is it because I'm his siters friend?. Or that I'm two years younger than him?. I don't understand him, and it's driving me up the wall!. Please help, any advise would help:)... Thanks,

No one can tell you why he ignores you except himself. You can't force a friendship to happen. Ask yourself why you want to be friends with this boy so badly if all he does is be rude to you and ignore you.

Instead of spending too much energy wondering and getting frustrated over it, focus on spending time with your other friends and making new ones with other people who are not him.

He is very rude, so ignore him.

Think of it this way...

Some guys, when they LIKE you, they are shy. Mabey he doesn't but, the worst he can do is not like you.
