My child's father has not seen him in over a year and has paid child support once in 5 yrs. And seen him a total of 6 times in 5 yrs. Is that considered abandoned?

No. That's poor parenting on his part. If he left the child unattended in a hot car or left her alone at the store then that would be abandonment.

What is it you want? Did you bother reading the sticky note at the top of this forum about abandonment?

I'd suggest having a rubber stamp that reads "Did you read the sticky before you posted?" made and then using it freely.

How about a word filter that highlights the word in red with a direct link to the sticky : )
