    Honda fuel pump problems
I have a 1992 Honda Civic Si 1.6 engine.Engine will not start.Aleady replaced the disributor and main relay.Engine light stays on during cranking.Checked fuel supply line going into fuel filter while cranking engine, there was no fuel or pressure,so replaced fuel pump.Engine started after several attempts. But would not restart after shutdown.Same problem,no fuel output from fuel supply line.I am not hearing fuel pump kick in during start.Physically checked inside ECU,it was spotless.I have no diagnostic equipment.Suspect ECU or other fuel control relay. What next?

It definitely sounds like your ECM is toast. Here's how to easily test it:

The K-Test: Remove the MAP Sensor connector and turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II). Using a multimeter, check for 5 volts going between the MAP Sensor connector's reference wire (+) and ground. As you look at the connector, this is the socket on the right. Really press the black test lead into a cleaned main ECM ground on the thermostat housing. If the voltage is low, it's probably indicating ECM failure. Most failed ECMs will record a fraction of a volt. To me, the K-Test is simple, elegant, and accurate.

Here's how to easily replace it yourself:
